The digestive system is responsible for a major part of your physical well being and health. This is why it is necessary to maintain it in a proper manner and also take steps to improve your digestive system. Everyone experiences digestive problems like gas, upset stomach, nausea, heartburn, diarrhea or constipation. However, if these problems occur frequently then it can cause a major disruption in your life. Fortunately making some changes to your diet and lifestyle can alleviate these digestive problems and lead to better health of the system.

1. Eat real food - Typical western diet is high in refined crabs and saturated fat. At the same time lot of additives are used in the diet and these lead to problems in the digestive system. Additives like glucose, salt and other chemicals lead to increase in inflammation of the gut. Processed foods like low calorie drinks and ice cream, usually contain artificial sweeteners. The idea is to eat natural food and cut out the processed and artificial foods.

2. Take plenty of fiber - Everyone knows that fiber is good for digestion; soluble fiber absorbs water and insoluble fiber act in cleansing the digestive tract. Soluble fiber includes nuts, legumes and seeds whereas insoluble fiber includes vegetables wheat bran.

3. Consume healthy fats - Good digestion requires the intake of healthy fats. Fats make you feel full after a meal and they are needed for the proper absorption of nutrients. At the same time, omega fatty acids also reduce the risk of inflammatory bowel disease like ulcerative colitis. The foods rich in this fatty acid include flaxseeds, nuts, chia seeds along with fatty fish like salmon, sardines and mackerel.

4. Consume more fluids - Constipation is usually the outcome of low fluid intake. According to studies at least 2 liters of non caffeinated fluids are needed to keep the digestive system healthy. Apart from water you can opt for fluids like herbal teas and fruit juices without additives.

5. Manage stress – Stress can weaken the digestive system and you should opt for yoga and meditation in order to remain stress free. Stress hormones directly affect digestion and stress is associated with diarrhea, ulcers, IBS and constipation.

6. Eat mindfully – You can easily eat too much if you are not careful which in turn causes bloating, gas and indigestion. It is advisable to pay attention to all aspects of your food and the process of eating. According to studies digestive problems decrease in cases of ulcerative colitis and IBS with mindful eating.

7. Chew your food properly – this is something that we are told from childhood because when you chew your food properly the digestive system has to work less. If you do not chew your food properly it can lead to improper absorption of nutrients in the digestive tract.

8. Get regular exercise - Gravity and exercise help the food to travel through your digestive system. A walk after every meal will be good to improve your digestive system.

Keeping your digestive system healthy will ensure overall well being and good health not only of your body but also your mind. This is because the food that you eat has an impact on the mental hormones like serotonin, dopamine and others.

     Knee Pain Treatment in Ayurveda

Pain in the knee is not necessarily associated with age and people of any age can suffer from knee pain. The pain in knee can be due to injury, overuse, or some underlying condition like arthritis, dislocation or infection in the joint, and tendinitis etc. The severity of the pain differs from person to person and depends on the environment to some extent. Some common symptoms include tenderness, stiffness, locking of the joint or an effusion. The modern allopathic system of treatment simply focuses on the reduction of pain and control of inflammation. However, this system does not have any cure for the underlying cause of the pain. On the other hand knee pain treatment in Ayurveda aims at removing the root cause of the joint pain with the help of oral herbal medicine and topical applications as well.

Types of knee problems

There are two main types of problems associated with the knee joint. The first one is when the body and hence bones are under nourished    which lead to low bone density and overall weakness in the joints. In this problem the early symptoms may be some discomfort and a cracking sound but it can lead to immobility of the joint if it is not taken care of. If the bone or joint does not get enough nourishment then it can start degenerating. The second type of knee joint problem is the accumulation of too many toxins in the body and joints. These toxins are known as ama in Ayurveda and Ayurvedic knee pain treatment in Nagpur or elsewhere will focus on the detoxification of the body. It aims at removing the ama from the body and joint and if this is not done then the joints can become swollen and painful.

Futility of allopathic system of treatment in cases of knee pain

As far as the allopathic system of medicine is concerned as mentioned above it focuses only on the suppression of the problem with pain killers. These pain killers become ineffective over a period of time and have a very negative impact due to side effects. Then again once the joint becomes totally immobile and the condition goes out of hand the allopathic system suggests knee transplant surgery. This surgery has its chances of failure and if the surgery fails then the person may become bed ridden. Due to these reasons, more and more people are turning towards alternative medical systems like Ayurveda which provide a holistic and sure shot cure for knee pain problems. In fact it is also possible to provide knee ligament treatment in Ayurveda, where in allopathic system the only possible solution is often surgery with its chances of failure.

Herbal remedies

Knee care in Ayurveda first of all prevents the problem from becoming out of hand. As soon as you get knee problems of any kind it should be your aim to immediately find a good Ayurvedic hospital and discuss the problems with an Ayurvedic doctor. They will provide herbal medicines like boswellia, ashwagandha, turmeric and zinc help in reducing joint pain and increase the mobility and strength of the joint. At the same time, vamana – induced vomiting, virechana  - cleansing the stomach through stools, vasti – herbal enemas, etc. therapies are used to remove the toxins from the body. The joints are massaged with herbal oils and application of herbal compresses and poultices is also used to reduce the inflammation and pain in the joints. Along with these medicines and therapies the Ayurvedic doctors will also suggest yoga exercises to make the joints more active and function normally. Hence if you suspect that you have a knee problem then you should immediately consult an Ayurvedic practitioner so that the knee joint problem can be cured with its root cause.

Along with some herbs and minerals doctors at any Ayurveda wellness center will also prescribe lifestyle changes, ayurvedic diet and yoga exercises to ensure the overall well being of an individual.

How Ayurveda Treats for Wellness

When you go to any Ayurveda health wellness retreats, or simply a wellness center then the ayurvedic doctors will first check the balance of the three doshas which are prevalent in the body. These three doshas are – vata, pitta and kapha and any imbalance in one or more of these doshas is what leads to illness. Ayurvedic doctors recommend cleansing and detoxification of the body once every year even if you are not suffering from any ailment.

Nowadays the most popular method of detoxification and even treatment of certain disease is Panchakarma. For this treatment five different methods are administered to the individual and their main motto is to remove the toxins from in more than one way and to restore the balance of the doshas. This ensures that if you don’t have any ailment then you will remain fit and healthy. If on the other hand you are suffering from any ailment then you should opt for Ayurvedic wellness center treatment in Nagpur or elsewhere. This treatment will cure many ailments and make sure that you remain healthy mentally, physically and spiritually.

In Ayurveda there is no one size fits all approach, and each individual’s constitution is analyzed properly followed by a diagnosis of the ailment. Nowadays Ayurvedic doctors also take the help of modern scientific methods for diagnosis which cuts short the process of treatment. For gynecology as for any other problem, the three doshas of the person are analyzed to check which one of them is out of balance. Then therapies and herbal and mineral medicines are administered to rectify this imbalance.

The blood in the reproductive organs gives rise to many ailments if these doshas are out of balance. The most common symptoms of gynecological ailments are itching in the vagina, pelvic pain, vaginal discharge, breast pain and lumps in the breast, abnormal vaginal bleeding and others.

According to the doshas that are imbalanced the patient exhibits some symptoms that are characteristic of the ailment. Ayurvedic treatment gynecology in women can be done through the panchakarma purification method especially Uttara Basti.

In this treatment different methods are used to remove the toxins from the body which are responsible for most of the ailments in women.

  • Vaman – this is essentially therapeutic vomiting which is induced by medicated decoctions and some herbs and minerals. This treatment removes the Kapha imbalance causing toxins in the respiratory and digestive tract of the patient’s body.

  • Virechana – this is a therapy that balances the pitta in the body and is administered in such a way as to remove the toxins from the bowels of the patient which are causing the problem. This method of treatment also purifies the blood and clears the toxins.

  • Uttaravasti – the best gynecologist hospital in Nagpur administering this treatment will also make the use of enemas and is an effective treatment that cures the ailments concerned with the genitalia or bladder of the women which can be cured by this therapy. This treatment is usually administered during the ritukala or proliferate phase of the woman’s periodic cycle.

  • Nasya – This is a treatment involved in the Ayurvedic treatment gynecology which includes the installation of herbal oils through the nose and is effective for diseases above the neck along with pacifying the Kapha in the body. This, in turn, has a beneficial effect on the gynecological problems caused by the imbalance of Kapha in the body of a woman.

As mentioned above there is no one size fits approach in Ayurveda and hence each individual patient is screened according to their body constitution. The herbs and minerals used in the above-mentioned therapies are decided according to this. All three types of patients i.e. – Vata, pitta, and Kapha re-administered different herbs, oils, and decoctions. At the same time, they are given herbal medicines and prescribed a particular diet and lifestyle to balance the three doshas of the body. Yogic exercise may also be advised by an Ayurvedic doctor as part of the treatment of the ailment that the woman is facing. Ayurvedic Methods for Total Wellness in Mind and Body

This is because Ayurveda is a holistic science which treats the human being as a whole unlike the allopathic method of medicine. Even western countries have understood the value of Ayurveda and in the United States it is being practiced for the last more than 30 years.

Things to know about Ayurveda

Ayurveda does not take a one size fits all method, instead ayurvedic medicine and treatments are chosen according to the type of person. In Ayurveda a human being has a definite body type based on the three doshas – vata, pitta and kapha. The balance between these three doshas is different in different people and hence they are given treatment and medicine accordingly. There are a few techniques of living an ayurvedic balanced lifestyle which you can learn at a good Ayurveda wellness center.

Let us look at some of the techniques that can help you use the profound knowledge of Ayurveda wellness in your life.

Diet

The first thing that Ayurveda teaches is to have a healthy sattvic or pure diet consisting of freshly cooked or raw vegetables and fruits, whole grains and other foods that are not overcooked or processed. Then again you should also drink clean water and breathe fresh air. Of course in the urban scenario around the world pollution of water, air and food is a major problem and Ayurveda provides methods with herbal medicines to overcome the effect of such pollution. There are many methods like induced vomiting or enemas and other techniques which remove the toxins from the body. Such treatments are available at Ayurveda health wellness retreats organized by some Ayurvedic institutes.

Exercise

Ayurveda is a complimentary science united with yoga. Yoga again is customized and yoga practitioners prescribe different exercises to different people based on their body type and the health problems they may be facing. In fact, a good Ayurvedic doctor will always prescribe yoga exercises with herbal and mineral medicines and following their advice is the best way to remain healthy and enhance your overall wellness. Most of the good Ayurveda wellness centers have their own yoga instructors who will ensure along with the doctors that you remain well and healthy. How Ayurveda Wellness Helps in Improving Bodily Health

Ayurveda Wellness is a Way to Good Health

Ayurveda is the science of healing using natural herbs, and the powers of yoga and meditation. It is the treatment module that aims at the holistic improvement of the person at all levels of mind, body and soul. Ayurveda wellness, therefore, is the concept that offers the strong body and happy mind and helps connect the person with the stronger inner self.

Life in the present times is stressful and people are running a rat race without realizing their uniqueness and purpose. At any Ayurveda wellness center, the experts guide the joiners in finding that lost individuality and help achieve the much needed peace of mind.

Ayurvedic wellness can be achieved by joining Ayurvedic health wellness retreats present in India. Ours is a country which is said to be the origin of Ayurveda. Thus, the wellness treatments available here stand out in trustworthiness and have a well-designed plan to offer to the people seeking health and happiness. The focus of the wellness retreats is to help the attendees make the program the way of their life and this they achieve by activities such as:

Food and diet guide: At Ayurvedic Wellness Center, the attendees are given natural foods to eat, which are said to be Sattvic (enriched with purity) in nature. They are made to cut on calories and are given a diet chart that is nutritious and devoid of elements that actually take away the energy of the body instead of replenishing it.

How to eat, what to eat and most importantly, when to eat can be learned by the diet charts provided during the wellness program.

Exercise schedule: You register the purpose for which you want to join the program at wellness center, and they prescribe the exercise routine for you accordingly. The exercising is essentially included in the programs to make people fit physically and stronger in joints too. The exercise schedule is focused at helping with the symptoms of spondylitis, pinched nerve, joint pain and several other disorders which otherwise are treated only with addictive medicines in other lines of treatments.

Rejuvenating spas: One of the main aims of going to wellness centers is to rejuvenate. The tattered bodies and minds find a dose of rejuvenation in the programs of wellness centers. Here Is How Your Can Get Rid Of Back Pain

One of the most common issues people are facing these days is back pain. This is the most common reason people visit the doctor or miss work and it is the leading cause of disability worldwide. Most people suffer from back pain at least once in their lifetime.

Fortunately, there are measures can be taken to prevent or relieve most back pain episodes by visiting a spine specialist in Nagpur. If prevention fails, simple home treatment and proper body mechanics often help to heal your back. Surgery is rarely needed to treat back pain.

Signs and symptoms of back pain:

1. Muscle ache

2. Shooting or stabbing pain

3. Pain that radiates down the leg

4. Pain that comes with bending, lifting, standing or walking

5. Pain that improves with reclining

While most can go with ayurvedic treatment for spine problems, or home remedies if you don't improve in time, see your doctor. In some rare cases, back pain can signal a serious medical problem.

The back pain which comes suddenly and remains trouble you for more than six weeks (acute) can be caused by a fall or heavy lifting. Back pain continues for more than three months (chronic) is less common than acute pain.

Ways to relieve back pain:

1. Take better sleep.

2. It is hard to get proper sleep when you have back pain. It can be brutal because if you don’t get better sleep the back pain may feel worse. Sleep position can also aggravate back pain.

3. Try one side-lying and place a pillow between the knees to keep your spine in a neutral position and relieve strain on your back. If your back pain is related to slip disc you can try ayurvedic treatment for slip disc.

Take care of your posture:

Today's 9-5 work culture increases the risk of back pain. Poor sitting posture can make back pain worse, especially if you sit for long periods. Don't slump over your keyboard. Sit upright, with the shoulders relaxed and the body supported against the back of your chair. If you can try and put a pillow or a rolled towel between your lower back and your seat. Keep your feet flat on the floor.

Prescription Pain Relievers:

Some people may need prescription-strength NSAIDs or opioid medications to help with the pain. It is very important to talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any other medications -- including over-the-counter medicines -- to avoid overdosing on certain active ingredients. The doctor may also prescribe you muscle relaxants to help ease painful muscle spasms.

Physical Therapy:

This the most important way to relieve pain studies show that when you increase your strength, flexibility, and endurance, back pain decreases -- but it takes time. Your therapists can teach you how to sit, stand, and move in a way that keeps your spine in proper alignment and alleviates strain on your back. Experts with neck pain treatment in Nagpur also can make you lean specialized exercises that strengthen the core muscles that support your back.

Ice and Heat:

Continuous use of ice on the painful areas on your back may help reduce pain and inflammation from an injury. Continue this several times a day for up to 20 minutes each time. Do not apply the ice directly instead try wrapping it a thin towel to protect your skin. After a few days, switch to heat. Apply a heating pad or warm pack to help relax your muscles and increase blood flow to the affected area. Try warm baths to help with relaxation. Never sleep on a heating pad to avoid burns and tissue damage.

Talk Therapy:

This may seem strange to you but according to some studies, cognitive-behavioral therapy is very effective in the short and long term at helping chronic back pain. For instance, CBT may target how people with back pain think about physical activity -- and why they may be avoiding it -- to help change the way they respond to being active. There is back pain treatment in Nagpur who can do CBT for you. In fact, people suffering from back pain who do CBT have reported significant decreases in pain and disability.

Every Thing You Need To Know About Pitta Dosha and How To Balance It

Ayurveda is an ancient and world’s most sophisticated and powerful mind-body health systems. It is a science of life which offers a body of wisdom designed to help people stay vibrant and healthy. One of the most foundational concepts in the tradition of Ayurveda is Doshas. Vata Dosha, Pitta Dosha, and Kapha Dosha are three types of Doshas, each of these are essential to your physiology in some way. Doshas are energetic forces of nature, functional principles that helps you to better understand yourself, and the world around you.

What Is Pitta Dosha :

Derived from the elements of Fire and Water Pitta can be translated as “that which cooks.” In living organisms, pitta is largely liquid, which is why water is its secondary element.

Pitta is neither mobile nor stable but spreads—much as the warmth of a fire permeates its surroundings, or as water flows in the direction dictated by the terrain.

The Pitta Dosha is closely related to intelligence, understanding, and the digestion of foods, thoughts, emotions, and experiences; it governs nutrition and metabolism, body temperature, and the light of understanding.

You can take Parijatak pitta dosha test to see the balancing of your Pitta.

Following are some tips you can apply to balance Pitta.

  • Add foods that are naturally sweet, bitter, and astringent in your diet.
  • Avoid hot temperatures and food. Keep your body temperature cool.
  • Favour cool, dry foods, heavy and sweet, bitter and astringent tastes.
  • Make a balance of whole, freshly cooked foods and fresh, raw foods try reducing pungent, sour, salty tastes and warm, oily and light foods.
  • Start taking cooling herbs and spices such as coriander, cilantro, fennel and cardamom.
  • If you digest then opt for dairy, however, avoid drinking milk with your meals. It is ideal to have it at least an hour before or after other food.
  • A moderate amount of high-quality olive, sunflower and coconut oils or ghee is helpful in your daily diet.

Routine Times For Your Meals
  • Take a deep breath after swallowing your last bite and heading off for your next activity.
  • Eat your meal in a peaceful environment.

Go For Ayurveda Pitta Dosha Test If You See Below Symptoms :
  • Red, inflamed rash, acne, cold sores
  • Acute inflammation in body or joints
  • Acid reflux, gastric or peptic ulcers, heartburn
  • Nausea or discomfort upon missing meals
  • Loose stools
  • The uncomfortable feeling of heat in the body
  • Frustration, anger, irritability
  • Judgment, impatience, criticism, intolerance
  • Red, inflamed or light-sensitive eyes
  • Excessive perfectionist tendencies

Pitta Dosha can be balanced by a diet of fresh, whole foods. Pitta is relatively substantive in nature; however, an appropriate diet is a very effective way to support a return to balance.

You can bless with a joyful disposition, a sharp intellect, and tremendous courage and drive with balanced Pitta. As the fire of the mind and body becomes unruly, however, the laughing Pitta quickly becomes the yelling Pitta. Anger, rage, and ego replace Pitta’s positive attributes, leaving an individual who is bitter with life and overbearing towards others. Expert says imbalanced Pitta individuals don’t go to hell; they simply create it wherever they go! Imbalances Pitta commonly manifests in the body as infection, inflammation, rashes, ulcers, heartburn, and fever.

Pitta ayurvedic diet aids in cleansing the body of all the harmful and toxic waste material and regularizing the bowel movements for a happy and healthy gut. If you do so on a regular basis this will calm your body and allow it to function properly.

Fresh fruits and vegetables work best to control Pitta dosha. Fruits that are sweet to taste and slightly astringent helps in Pitta Dosha. When picking Pitta pacifying foods, it is important to distinguish between the tastes as anything sweet can work in your favour, although a fruit or vegetable that is bitter to taste can work against your body.
